What we measure
- Antioxidant performance against real radicals. EPR spin trapping quantifies scavenging of hydroxyl, superoxide and nitric oxide radicals directly, with spectra simulated and double-integrated. This is not a DPPH assay: DPPH is not biologically relevant and its read-out depends on the colour of your sample.
- Where the active sits in the carrier. Spin labelling distinguishes an active incorporated in the lipid bilayer from one adsorbed on the surface, and quantifies the effect on membrane order and fluidity.
- Skin delivery and penetration depth. Two-dimensional L-band EPR imaging in an ex vivo skin model, non-invasive and depth-resolved – the sample is not cut, stained or extracted, so it can be measured again over time.
- Formulation stability. Size, polydispersity and zeta potential over time and temperature; oxidative stability of sensitive actives.
- UV protection and hydration performance.
What you receive
A comprehensive laboratory analysis report with the raw data, a clear interpretation of the results, and specific recommendations for formulation improvement.
